Third-party candidate Jo Jorgensen nets over 38K votes in close Wisconsin race

WISCONSIN — Third-party Presidential Candidate Jo Jorgensen received over 38K votes in Wisconsin during the 2020 presidential election.

It was a close race between Joe Biden and President Donald Trump for Wisconsin's 11 electoral votes. However, it is worth mentioning that third-party candidate Jo Jorgensen did receive a solid chunk of votes as well.

The Wisconsin Election Commission announced Thursday that Wisconsin voters turned out in record numbers for the election.

They said around 3,296,374 voted for the election. Of those, 38,414 voted for Jo Jorgensen. That is one percent of all Wisconsin votes.

Jo Jorgensen was running for President as a part of the libertarian party. According to USA Today, she is on pace to receiving 1.1 percent of votes nationwide.
