Sunday marks final day of early voting, half of Milwaukee's registered voters have already voted

MILWAUKEE — Sunday is the final day of early voting, and about half of the registered voters in Milwaukee have already voted.

As of Sunday morning, 49 percent of registered Milwaukee voters have already voted either in-person or absentee.

103,621 in-person ballots have been cast in Milwaukee County. Statewide, 636,697 in-person ballots have been cast. However, these numbers are even higher if you include absentee ballots.

The City of Milwaukee has already seen 157,235 total ballots cast, of the 317,957 registered voters. Those numbers are similar to Racine's, where 49 percent of registered voters have already cast their ballot.

Other surrounding cities have similar percentages. According to the Wisconsin Election Commission, 73 percent of Shorewood voters have already voted, 54 percent of Kenosha voters have cast their ballot, Waukesha is at 59 percent, Franklin is at 65 percent, and 63 percent of New Berlin voters have returned or cast their ballot.

If you haven't voted yet but want to vote early for this presidential election, Sunday is the last day you can do it. But don't worry, polling locations in and around Milwaukee are open.

According to the Election Commission, the following Milwaukee locations are open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday:

  • Villard Square Library, 5190 N 35th St
  • Washington Park Library, 2121 N Sherman Blvd
