MILWAUKEE — The November 3rd election is about a month away, and a faith-based group called "Souls To The Polls" is making a push to get people registered to vote in Milwaukee.
A registration event Monday was held in partnership with Milwaukee Health Services. Event volunteers answered questions about early voting, absentee ballots, and coronavirus concerns.
Greg Lewis, Executive Director of Souls to the Polls, said he understands there are fears relating to COVID-19 and voting. He battled the virus back in March, that's why he is pushing for people to early vote and send in absentee ballots.
"We are going to be registering as many people as we can today and we are going to help with their photo ID information, about where, why, and what," said Lewis.
Lewis said it’s important for everyone to get out and vote this election.
“If we vote things are going to change if we don’t vote there is a possibility things will stay like they are whether you want to change or not it’s up to you,” said Lewis.
The registration event runs until 3:00 p.m. at the following locations:
Isaac Coggs Heritage Center
8200 W Silver Spring Drive

MLK Heritage Health Center
