SHEBOYGAN — The Sheboygan Area School District is extending virtual learning until at least through Thanksgiving, as COVID-19 cases refuse to lower.
The Board of Education decided at a meeting Tuesday evening that all schools will extend virtual learning, at least until Thanksgiving but with a "high probability of further extension due to the increasing community burden rate," according to a letter sent to families.
The Board acknowledges that since shifting to virtual learning on Oct. 13, the number of coronavirus cases in the community "have continued to increase."
