Former Vice President Joe Biden is now projected to be the winner of the Electoral College, NBC News reports.
NBC made the call on Saturday morning after Biden was named the projected winner of Pennsylvania, bringing him to 273 electoral votes.
Biden was named the projected winner of 253 electoral votes as of Thursday afternoon. At that point, he needed to win two more states, or Pennsylvania by itself, in order to take the college. On Friday morning, Biden took the lead in Pennsylvania.
The news comes after President Donald Trump filed several lawsuits to stop counting the ballots in several states, and as his campaign has demanded a recount in Wisconsin.
Prior to all the results being in, both Biden and Trump broke Barack Obama's record for most votes any presidential candidate has received. Obama set the record back in 2008 after receiving more than 69 million votes in his name.
