WASHINGTON — Former House Speaker Paul Ryan is urging President Trump to concede the race to Joe Biden, Politico reports.

The former Wisconsin legislator said at Bank of America’s virtual European Credit Conference that the “attacks on our voting system really need to stop, in my opinion."

Ryan continued that the president's lawyers are offering “baseless conspiracy theories" and that a divided government would benefit Biden's presidency, according to Politico.

This comes after the General Services Administration acknowledged Biden's win by informing his campaign that the Trump administration is ready to begin the formal transition process.

Ryan had this to say regarding that acknowledgment, according to Politico: “It’s really actually frankly pretty important, because that allows the official transition to actually occur so that President-elect Biden - and Joe Biden is the president-elect - so that Joe Biden, the president-elect, can actually plan his transition."
