WISCONSIN — Former Vice President Joe Biden's lead in Wisconsin's election results has topped 20,000 with only a few hundred votes left to be counted.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission announced Wednesday that the only votes yet to be counted in Wisconsin was from one small town with fewer than 300 voters.. The state has yet to be called officially by either The Associated Press or NBC News.
This margin of 20,000 votes, however, could end up being within the 1 percent that is required to request a recount when results are made official.
The news comes shortly after President Donald Trump's campaign manager said they would be demanding a recount in the Dairy State.
“Despite ridiculous public polling used as a voter suppression tactic, Wisconsin has been a razor thin race as we always knew that it would be. There have been reports of irregularities in several Wisconsin counties which raise serious doubts about the validity of the results. The President is well within the threshold to request a recount and we will immediately do so," said Campaign Manager Bill Stepien.
