WISCONSIN — Former Vice President Joe Biden released a video Thursday night addressing Wisconsinites ahead of his DNC speech.
In the video, Biden expressed how he wishes he and Kamala Harris could be in Wisconsin for the DNC, but stated it's just not safe.
"We're really disappointed we can't be there. But right now, that's just not possible," said Biden. "COVID cases are rising, and people are hurting."
Biden went on to share his understanding of Wisconsinites, saying he knows our character and strength.
"I also know the character of Wisconsinites, and I know that we're going to get through this," said Biden.
Biden also took a moment to address how President Trump has handled to coronavirus pandemic saying, "he's has turned his back on Wisconsin - refusing to listen to the experts."
He then said that Wisconsin has a chance to stand up and say "enough is enough is enough." He said the state has a chance, with him, to overcome this pandemic and build our economy back better than it was before.
