MILWAUKEE — The annual Milwaukee International Truck and Car Show has been moved to Wisconsin State Fair Park May 5 through May 9, 2021, the Milwaukee Business Journal reports.
The Automobile Dealers Association of Metro Milwaukee usually hosts the show at the Wisconsin Center, but ADAMM president Jim Tolkan tells the BizJournal that the change in venues was necessary. He says the Wisconsin Center District could not accommodate the auto show's new dates amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Wisconsin State Fair's Exposition Center is currently being used as Wisconsin's alternate care facility during the pandemic. The association was told that the alternate care facility will no longer be operating at the fairgrounds come May, according to the BizJournal.
The auto show usually happens over nine days in February. The next auto show will span five days.
Between 35,000 to 75,000 people attend the auto show in a strong year, Tolkan says.
The show plans to return to the Wisconsin Center in 2022.
