Milwaukee Art Museum closes until January due to COVID-19 surge

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Art Museum announced it will be closing its doors to the public starting Thursday, Nov. 19, until at least Jan. 2 due to the COVID-19 surge in Milwaukee.

Museum admission tickets will be refunded to the card they were purchased on.

Museum staff will continue working from home to ensure the exhibits online and at the museum will reopen in the future.

Virtual exhibits will continue as planned. In fact, the museum encourages visitors to participate in the online content available, including virtual tours of gallery spaces, art projects for kids and families, and interviews with artists.
