Pick 'N Save and Kroger Health areextending the free drive-thru COVID-19 testing happening at the site of the former BMO Harris Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee.

The site, located at 1001 Vel R. Phillps Ave. in Milwaukee, will be open Tuesday, June 2, Wednesday, June 3, and Thursday, June 4, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The three-step drive-thru process takes an average of 20 minutes, after being approved and deemed eligible online.

"The more testing that's done, the more identification we can do. It will help things up, it will flatten the curve." Jim Hyland, VP of Communications and Public Affairs for Roundy's Supermarkets said.

Test results are typically returned in less than a week.

More than 1,300 tests have already been administered between this site and the site in Kenosha in the past few weeks.

"I think until we have more information the testing is really good. There’s just too much unknown," said Bill O'Neil who spoke with TMJ4 News after being tested on Tuesday morning. "I take care of my mom and we have some grandkids around so I wanted to make sure I was safe."

The test is self-administered and supervised by a professional.

Hyland hopes people out protesting and rallying in the community will consider being tested as they surround themselves with others amid this pandemic.

"If you are out with the crowds this weekend, I think it's a great idea to get tested. It’s a free test," said Hyland.
