A person pretending to be a Catholic Priest is trying to scam local residents.
Whitefish Bay Police have a report of a subject who is contacting Milwaukee Catholic Archdiocese parishioners and pretending to be Father Timothy Kitzke.
The suspect will request someone to purchase gift cards and send photographs of the gift cards and pin numbers to a cell phone number.
Police contacted Father Kitzke and he said he is not asking anyone to purchase gift cards on his behalf.
Whitefish Bay Police warn everyone to be vigilant when receiving unsolicited calls from anyone who can't confirm their identity.
