An Appleton man is accused of posing as a doctor and now faces multiple criminal charges.

The Appleton Police Department was recently contacted by someone suspicious of the services being offered at a medical office on E. Wisconsin Avenue.

Police say investigators quickly determined the man offering a variety of medical treatments was not a licensed physician. Police say the man was also not licensed to prescribe or dispense medications he had been providing to patients.

Police carried out a search warrant on Wednesday of the facility in question and took what they say was a man posing as a doctor into custody.  Police say they found evidence of an illegal medical practice.

Kyle Larsen is now in the Outagamie County Jail. Preliminary charges include Theft by Fraud, Possession with Intent to Deliver Designer Drugs, Dispense Prescribed Drugs without Prescription, Practice Medicine/Surgery without a License, Practice Pharmacy without a License and Unlicensed Practice of Psychology.

If you have information about the illegal medical practice, please contact Sgt. Katie Bohren at the Appleton Police Department’s non-emergency phone number (920) 832-5500. If you have information, but wish to remain anonymous, please consider using the “REPORT” feature on the Appleton Police Department’s free phone app.
