MILWAUKEE -- One person is injured after a fire in an apartment building on the Northwest Side of Milwaukee Sunday evening.
The Milwaukee Fire Department said one person was taken to the hospital for burns and smoke inhalation. No word on their condition at this time.
The fire broke out at about 8:30 p.m. at the Arbor Garden Apartments off of Fond Du Lac Avenue near Mill Road.
Firefighters said the flames were contained to one apartment on the second floor. It caused what they called "fairly expensive damage."
A cause remains under investigation.
