MILWAUKEE — The most sought-after item in the City of Milwaukee is not a television or toy. It’s beer.

Thousands waited in line, for a limited release of Lakefront Brewery’s Black Friday beer. Only 4,500 of the Imperial Russian Stout was sold. They sold out before Noon.

Dave Armstrong was first in line at 9 p.m. Friday. “You could never get any sleep, it's just too cold,” said Armstrong.

More than a half-dozen other breweries follow suit each year.

This includes a great turnout before Raised Grain even opened in Waukesha, to get their Christmas Ale.

The Explorium Brewpub in Greendale opened their doors at 6 a.m. Friday to start selling their Imperial Brown Ale.

You may want to act sooner than later, Lakefront Brewery is expected to sell out of their limited release before Noon.
