There are only a few days left to ship presents if you want your loved ones to get them in time for Christmas.
The United States Postal Service just released its shipping deadlines:
- The deadline for military mail is Dec. 16.
- The deadline for Priority Mail is Dec. 20.
- The deadline for Priority Mail Express is Dec. 22.
Across the country, more than 15 billion pieces of mail and packages will be delivered this year during the holiday season.
As more and more people do their holiday shopping online, post office workers are working double-time getting all those packages to their destination.
"This year we're expecting about 850 million packages to go through our system nationwide. That's up 10 percent from last year and that's higher than the year before, and the year before that," said Sean Hargadon with the USPS.
Hargadon said if you haven't already done so, make sure to ship any packages you may have in time.
