MILWAUKEE -- With Halloween just days away, Milwaukee has plenty of spooky festivities to take part in this weekend.
Here are a few to choose from:
- Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration
Head down to the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory (The Domes) Friday between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to be a part of a Day of the Dead celebration. The event will have a mariachi band, authentic cuisine, crafts for children, face painting and more. Tickets are $8. For more information, click here.
- "Dracula" by the Milwaukee Ballet
Running through Sunday at the Marcus Center for Performing arts, the Milwaukee Ballet is performing "Dracula." Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. The running time for this performance is 2.5 hours. - Historic Beer Bike Ride: Haunted Milwaukee
Beginning at Brew City MKE at 11 a.m. on Saturday, you have the opportunity to ride along the Oak Leaf Trail to several breweries. At each stop, you will be told a true horror story about Milwaukee. The ride will continue through the Riverwest neighborhood until 4 p.m. To register for the event, click here.
- “The Headless Hessian of Sleepy Hollow” by WVL Radio Theatre
On Saturday night at the Marcus Center for Performing Arts, an audience will be given the opportunity to be transported to the 1940's for a live radio broadcast. The radio station;s actors will tell stories of the Lizzie Borden Axe Murders, Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart,” and Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” For more information, click here.
