MILWAUKEE -- When you are leading the team with the league's best record, chances are you will be an All-Star. In Giannis Antetokounmpo's case, this will mark his third straight appearance among the league's best players.
Currently, Antetokounmpo leads the NBA's Eastern Conference in All-Star votes with 991,561 and counting. He is followed by Kyrie Irving of the Boston Celtics with 910,329 votes, Kawhi Leonard of the Tornto Raptors with 774,172 votes and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers with 648,002 votes.
To this point, the leader in All-Star votes is none other than LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers. James, the 14-time NBA All-Star and three-time MVP, has 1,083,363 votes.
Fans account for 50 percent of the vote in determining the 10 starters for the 68 annual NBA All-Star Game.
Today at @Bucks practice I asked @Giannis_An34 if he geeked out when @TheRock responded to his tweet. Big props to @mkebucksaus for asking the real wrestling questions: #Bucks pic.twitter.com/WmM8mkOyr5
