When to catch the deals at the 2019 Wisconsin State Fair

WEST ALLIS — The Wisconsin State Fair kicked off strong Thursday morning with opening ceremonies promising for days of cream puffs, animals, carnival rides and foods on a stick. Officials are offering fair-goers several different promotions to get on the grounds for a discount this year.

August 1:

Thursday is $2 day benefiting the Hunger Task Force. Fair-goers will receive $2 admission when they donate at least two cans of pears or peaches. Attendees can also make a cash donation outside of any gate. Be sure to get there early, the promotion ends at 4 p.m.

August 2:

Happy Celebrate Wisconsin Day. Wisconsin State Fair is showing its famous Wisconsin hospitality by offering a deal to those who are visiting our great state. Visitors can buy two adult admission tickets for only $14 dollars when they present their out-of-state ID at any ticket window.

August 5:

It's Kohl's Family Value Day. Adults will receive $6 admission and all children under 11 will receive FREE admission from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Fans can stop by the Kohl’s Activity Zone featuring free activities tailored for families.

August 7:

Save $4 when entering the grounds before 6 p.m. for Meijer Day, if you present your Meijer receipt (with a purchase of $30 or more) at any State Fair gate.

August 11:

Miller High Life is recognizing veterans with Military Recognition Day. Service members will receive free admission on until 4 p.m.
