WAUKESHA --The Waukesha County Fair kicks off Wednesday, July 18 with a special "dollar deal."
The day gives attendees the ability to have $1 admission as well as $1 parking and free viewing of all attractions at the fair. This year, the fair is offering rides for only one ticket as well.
The opening day's attractions include a bubble gum blowing contest, pancake eating contest, craft beer, and cider judging, truck and tractor pull, pig, goat and duck races, and the finals of the Fairest of the Fair competition.
New to the fair this year are tethered hot air balloon rides. They will be an additional charge and are limited and operate on a first come, first serve basis.
If you can't make it today, make sure to get out there at some point this year. The fair will be gone for the year after Sunday, July 22.
