MILWAUKEE -- Summerfest 2018 is over. So did the Big Gig bring in its biggest audience yet? Some vendors said no.

Mazia Hamdan runs Chubby Cheese steaks and said. "I've noticed a big dip in attendance this year compared to last year.

"Last year was the 50th anniversary so it was a huge production.  I feel like this year was a little down on the line up."

The fast food shop is known for its  Philly cheese steaks, but when temperature soared above 90 degrees, the shop sold a lot of  milkshakes.

Inga Patterson, a vendor selling wallets, said the hot days slowed down sales.

"It was a little slower for sure because of how uncomfortable it was to walk around outside," she said.

But workers at a Hawaiian shave ice stand said 2018 was one of their busiest years so far. The frozen dessert stand has been selling the sweet treat at the largest music festival for 25 years.

"This year we've been selling a lot of strawberry daiquiris and Pina Coladas, said Sam Karcher.

"The lines were stretching all the way back. They were almost hitting the store back there."
