NEWaukee Night Market set for Wednesday

MILWAUKEE — The NEWaukee Night Market is scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 10 on West Wisconsin Avenue.

The Night Market is a free, outdoor event that showcases local Milwaukee vendors, performers and artists.

Wednesday night’s market includes a craft brewery village featuring six local breweries: Eagle Park, Gathering Place, MobCraft, Milwaukee Brewing Company, Sprecher and Third Space.

There also will be bars from Central Standard Craft Distillery and MANCAN Wine. The cocktail and wine bars will be credit/debit only.

The main stage will feature a preview of “West Side Story” by the Milwaukee Repertory Theater at 6 p.m., the TRUE Skool Band at 7 and the La Casa Charter School Drum & Dance to Call for Peace at 8.

The 2nd Street Stage features the Milwaukee Public Library’s Children’s Storytime at 5:30 p.m. and DJ Loop and the LED Dancers from 6 to 9 p.m.

West Wisconsin Avenue between Plankinton and Vel R. Phillips Avenue, and Old World Third between Wisconsin Avenue and Wells Street will be shut down from noon to 1 a.m. on the day of the event. Buses that run along Wisconsin Avenue will be rerouted to either Michigan Avenue or Wells Street.

Due to rain, the Night Market on June 12 was canceled. Other scheduled dates are Aug. 14 and Sept. 11.
