MILWAUKEE --Thousands poured into the Summerfest Wednesday on the same mission, to see Kesha’s first performance at the ‘Big Gig’. Some of her most devoted fans lined the gates before noon to snag the best seats.
Kesha performs on a general admission stage Wednesday night so seats were first come, first serve. Alyssa Scarzypczak and Ashley Dietrich marked the event on their calendars months ago.
“Since the Summerfest lineup came out,” said Scarzypczak. “I was like I’m going to Kesha. I actually saw her in October when she was at The Rave.”
Just a couple hours after the gates opened, hundreds claimed their seats inside the Miller Lite Oasis.
“Right now it’s not that bad but later it will be worse,” Dietrich said around 2:00 p.m.
Kesha broke into the pop scene eight years ago. She’s enjoyed a number one album and multiple Grammy nominations since.
“I’ve loved Kesha since I was little,” said Scarzypczak. “I like how she’s all for equality and she’s wild.”
Nate Schuster also spent full day of holding seats in the scorching heat. He made a concerted effort to stay hydrated.
“A lot of water, a lot of Gatorade,” he said.
Kesha takes the stage Wednesday night around 9:45 p.m.
