MILWAUKEE — Fulfill your dream of having an actual food fight at the 13th Annual Tomato Romp Festival on Sept. 7th.

The East Side tradition is an all-out tomato food fight, and all the proceeds go to the Riverwest Food Pantry's Healthy Food Fund. The money raised will help reduce low-income families dependency on cheaper unhealthy food options because they can't afford fresh produce.

Around 8,000 pounds of over-ripe tomatoes will be provided for the massive food fight at North Murray Avenue between East North Avenue and East Thomas Avenue. The Milwaukee Fire Department will be hosing down participants afterwards.

It costs $10 to join which includes a pair of goggles and a t-shirt.

Before the big tomato party, you can sample and vote on the best Bloody Marys on the East Side. Celebrity judges as well as festival-goers will get the chance to choose their favorite rendition of the classic drink.

Tickets can be bought for $30 and ensures you a five ounce Bloody Mary sample and beer chaser from reach participating establishment. Please remember to drink responsibly.

More information about the festival can be at theevent website.
