At the Big Gig memories come from both sides of the microphone, on the stage and off. Ryan McIntyre is a local musician born in Waukesha.

He had never been to Summerfest until he played the venue for the first time in 1999. It’s also the gig he waits all year for.
“Throughout the year no matter what somebody says are you playing Summerfest,” said McIntyre.
As a musician McIntyre knows how lucky he is to have a venue like Summerfest in his backyard.
“Just today before the gig started I was kind of pinching myself saying here we are again it’s amazing,” he said.
For Judy Tyrer’s memories are from watching all the shows at the “Big Gig.”
She's been coming since 1981, the same year a photo was taken of her and some friends that recently made it back onto the TMJ4.com flashback page.
"We were just hanging out and someone came up and asked if they could take our photo,” she said.
But she won’t be recreating the picture since “my husband’s not here today” said Tyrer.
