Big construction changes on the grounds

You might see a few new things on the festival grounds this year including a new North Gate ticket building. There'll be digital displays, more turnstile lines, and a new box office, doubling the amount of spots to purchase tickets. The Community Plaza is under way as well. Utilities are in place and the final touches are being made. When finished, this will include seating, bike parking, and interactive play structures.

This year the U.S. Cellular stage is completely rebuilt to include a larger performing area and more capacity for attendees. Constructors have began installing beams. The main sign is up and will double as a cell phone charging station.

Klement's is the Official Sausage of Summerfest

Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. officials are excited to announce a new ten year sponsorship agreement with Klement’s Sausage Company.  The sponsorship includes the building of a new stage area, “The Klement’s Sausage & Beer Garden,” as well as Klement’s being named the Official Sausage of Summerfest.

The Klement’s Sausage & Beer Garden will be located on the North End of Henry Maier Festival Park and will feature acoustic music from 2-8 p.m. daily, spotlighting local artists.  Modelled as a “backyard” picnic-style area, there will be a seated lounge area, picnic tables, and barbeque grills, as well as locations to purchase Klement’s products.

There's a chance to win tickets to the festival and some 'Summerfest swag.' Summerfest posted a contest on Facebook that closes on Friday, March 23.
