MILWAUKEE -- Nice weather welcomed Summerfest fans on Sunday, the final day of the eleven day music festival in Milwaukee.
From Noon to 3 p.m Sunday, Summerfest gave out 30,000 free admission tickets for next year.
“We want to thank the community for their support, not only during the 11 days of Summerfest, but for the past 51 years,” said Don Smiley, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. President and CEO, in a news release.
“We were here last year and it seems like they expanded a lot. There’s a lot more stages and we love it, we’re having a blast,” said one woman waiting in line at the South Gate.
People took advantage of other free admission deals during the music festival like during Children’s Fest and Seniorfest, where food and drinks were discounted as well.
“We’ve been here almost every day except for Saturday,” said another woman on the grounds.
“We come here every year the people here are great the food is great it’s really the highlight of our summer every year,” said another fan.
