MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office responded to an unresponsive driver in a vehicle on eastbound I-794 near 2nd Street Tuesday morning, according to a release. He was administered three 4 ml doses of Narcan.
Good Samaritans were performing CPR on the driver who was in the stopped car when deputies arrived at 9:10 a.m. The driver was not breathing, according to deputies.
The first responding deputy took over CPR and requested Milwaukee Fire's assistance, that's when officials could administer more Narcan.
The driver began breathing and came to after three doses. He then denied additional medical treatment.
The driver was taken into custody for their first OWI offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and a felony charge of possession of narcotics without a prescription. The driver was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
