Legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback Bart Starr continues his battle with a variety of medical ailments.
According to USA Today, the 82-year-old Starr recently visited Tijuana, Mexico to receive a stem cell treatment, the third time he's headed south of the border for the procedure.
Starr, who has undergone strokes and a heart attack, still needs help accomplishing daily tasks and struggles with his speech, but has seen improvement over the past couple of years.
Starr's son, Bart Starr, Jr., told TODAY'S TMJ4's Lance Allan that his dad is doing well and that they won't know the prognosis for another 2 or 3 weeks.
The treatment Starr received, called Stemedica, is not yet approved for use in the USA.
