GREEN BAY -- The comeback starts now - that's the message Aaron Rodgers sent to fans in an Instagram post after collarbone surgery Thursday night.
"Surgery went well," Rodgers said in the post. "Thanks for all the love, support, thoughts and prayers. #comebackstartsnow #riseagain"
The two-time NFL MVP may miss the rest of the 2017-18 season after breaking his collarbone on a hit from Anthony Barr during last Sunday's contest against the Minnesota Vikings. Rodgers missed seven games after a similar injury during the 2013-14 season.
Brett Hundley will start in Rodgers' place this Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. Hundley struggled behind center against the Vikings, tossing three interceptions.
Rodgers had thrown for 1,367 yards and 13 touchdowns across five games before the injury.
