Milwaukee-area brewery's 'free beer until Packers score' gameday special backfires on fans this week

GLENDALE -- The Bavarian Bierhaus in Glendale fared a little better this week with their promotion of free beer until the Packers score.

Last week, they went through more than three kegs of suds when the Packers were shut out by Baltimore. This week less than 10 minutes into the game, a touchdown got the Packers on the board.

General Manager Scott Bell says everybody wins.

“We brew our own and we want to have the opportunity to share that with the public and we want to make you a regular customer when you come in,” said Bell.

The promotion has been going on for the last two seasons. Last week they gave out more beer than they ever have before with the shut out but Bell says, “once every 11 years, isn’t so bad.”

They will continue to do it all season and into the postseason if the Pack takes us there.
