Green Bay Packers ticket prices drop after recent losses

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Green Bay Packers ticket prices continue to drop after the team lost to the Detroit Lions Monday night.

"Unfortunately the trend is they've been losing a few games and they lost their MVP quarterback so prices have definitely dipped down quite considerably compared to the past couple years," said Travis Loftus, with Ticket King told WISC-TV.

The average price for a home game at Lambeau Field in the beginning of the season was about $200. Now tickets are averaging $120.

Loftus said the prices began to drop when Aaron Rodgers was hurt in Week 6.

"This is kind of unchartered territory for us. I know he got hurt in 2013 and broke his other collarbone and we saw two games were pretty soft and prices went down considerably. This is doing the same thing," he said.

He said the team's recent losses are making the prices continue to drop, and the lack of hype and hope in the team is something the ticket company is not used to seeing.
