Eminem name-checked the Green Bay Packers in a freestyle that aired during the BET Hip Hop Awards Tuesday.

The popular Detroit rapper blasted President Donald Trump for his comments on the NFL, John McCain and his handling of race relations.

But the 4-minute segment also specifically mentioned the Packers.

“This is his form of distraction/ Plus, he gets an enormous reaction/ When he attacks the NFL, so we focus on that/ Instead of talking about Puerto Rico or gun reform for Nevada/ All of these horrible tragedies and he’s bored and would rather cause a Twitter storm with the Packers.”

Trump hasn’t specifically mentioned the Packers during any of his tweets or comments criticizing players that demonstrate during the playing of the national anthem, but he did call on NFL owners to fire players who take a stand when players kneel in protest.

“Get that son of the bitch off the field right now, he’s fired. He’s fired!” Trump said during a political rally in Alabama.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has expressed support for protesting players and led the team in linking arms during the national anthem. His call for Packers fans to also link arms in solidarity largely fell flat.

Some Packers players such as Marcellus Bennett, Lance Kendricks and Kevin King have chosen to sit down during the national anthem before some games this season.
