Hearing the National Anthem before tip-off is a part of every Milwaukee Bucks game.

On Wednesday, the team is holding auditions for those who would like the chance to sing the Star-Spangled Banner at one of this year's home games.

"Whether a seasoned veteran or closet sensation, members of the public will have the opportunity to showcase their musical abilities as they vie for the chance to perform in front of thousands," the Bucks said in a press release.

Singers auditioning Wednesday perform before a panel of judges.

The auditions are running from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Anyone can audition, although performers under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Singers auditioning said it would be a terrific opportunity to perform the Star-Spangled Banner at a Bucks game.

"The BMO Harris Bradley Center has always been a big part of our downtown scene," said Sarah Anderson. "It's a great place to be."

"This is a special song with a special meaning to me, and I'd love to have the chance to sing it for the Bucks," she said.

"This was a goal I set for myself: To sing the national anthem at a Bucks game," said Sarah Schanke, who was also auditioning. "It would be another check off my bucket list."
