As Major League Baseball’s trading deadline inches closer, talks are intensifying all over the league. The Brewers have already been in the middle of talks on several potential deals but have only pulled off one relatively minor one so far.

Still, General Manager David Stearns tells WTMJ’s Wisconsin’s Morning News, that he’s prepared to do whatever he can to make his team better in both the short and long term.

“No,” Stearns answered flatly to the question of whether he considers any of his current or minor league players untouchable. “I think given the way our Major League team has played, its pretty tough to subtract from our Major League team at this point. But I still maintain that same philosophy that I’ll listen to anything in that no one is truly untouchable.

“I think that’s the healthiest philosophy; to go into discussions with.”
