One of the victims of the mass shooting in Las Vegas met President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump during one of their visits to the hospital on Wednesday.

What stood out is that the man, identified as Thomas Gunderson, stood to meet the president and first lady despite being shot in the leg.

Gunderson posted the video on his Facebook page and by Thursday morning it had over 12 million views and 326,000 shares.

"I will never lie down when the President of this great country comes to shake my hand!" he wrote. "There may be plenty of issues in this country, but I will always respect my country, my president and my flag. Shot in the leg or not, I will stand to show my President the respect he deserves."

President Trump comes in and says "this guy looks tough to me" before shaking his hand." Check out the video below.
