Steven Avery is scheduled to appear on the "Dr. Phil" show on October 3 and 4. The convicted killer of Teresa Halbach will conduct the interview from his cell at Waupun Correctional Institution, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Avery is appealing his life sentence in the Halbach case and received worldwide attention through the Netflix documentary series Making a Murderer.
Avery's new fiancée Lynn Hartman will appear in studio with Dr. Phil McGraw as well.
Avery was convicted of killing Halbach, a Manitowoc photographer, who was last seen on October 31, 2005. Avery's nephew, Brendan Dassey was also convicted and is serving a life sentence.
A judge threw out Dassey's conviction and ordered him released from prison. The Wisconsin Department of Justice has appealed the ruling.
