BROOKFIELD -- A woman accused of robbing two area banks over the last few days has been arrested, police say.

The woman was spotted by surveillance cameras wearing the same pink hoodie for each robbery, one on Saturday and one on Monday.

The suspect is accused of first hitting a BMO Harris Bank branch in Brookfield on Saturday, March 25, just before 10:00 a.m. Cameras captured the woman apparently talking on her phone, all while police say she handed a teller a note saying she had a weapon.

The woman left on foot and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

A Tri City Bank branch on 107th St. in Hales Corners was the second stop for the suspect. Just before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, a woman wearing the same pink hoodie walked into the branch. She passed a note to the teller and took off on foot once again. Police didn't say how much money she got away with.

Police confirmed Tuesday afternoon that the woman was in custody, and that she would likely be in Waukesha County court Wednesday.
