MILWAUKEE -- Three teenagers are in custody for the suspected carjacking of two victims on Milwaukee's south side, police say.
An 80-year-old woman and her 74-year-old husband reported the carjacking around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, near S. 76th St. and W. Howard Ave., saying four people approached them as they got out of their Chevrolet Malibu.
One of the suspects grabbed the keys from the woman, and all four drove off in the car. Police say they crashed a short time later on W. Jackson Dr., where officers were able to quickly arrest three of the four alleged carjackers.
Two 14-year-olds and one 13-year-old was arrested, police say. All three are male. Officers continue to look for a fourth suspect.
The case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office for potential criminal charges in the coming days.
