A suspected drunk driver is in custody after authorities say he led a Waukesha Sheriff's deputy on a chase Sunday.

Investigators say the 60-year-old man, who was believed to be intoxicated, left a restaurant in Brookfield shortly after 8 p.m.

The deputy spotted the vehicle on Golf Road near Prospect Avenue in Pewaukee, and after the driver refused to pull over, a pursuit took place.

The chase continued into Delafield and ended when the driver lost control on Maple Avenue, went off the road and crashed into a culvert.

The lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Pending charges include operating while intoxicated second offense and eluding an officer.
