GREENFIELD -- A liquor store employee was assaulted during a robbery in Greenfield Tuesday evening.
Greenfield police said three individuals entered Jen's Beverage Center near 43rd and Howard at approximately 4:30 p.m.
One of the suspects hit the clerk with a liquor bottle over the head. The robber then took two bottles of liquor and broke several others as he was walking out, according to police.
The three individuals ran from the store and got in a vehicle with a getaway driver. No suspects were in custody as of Wednesday morning.
The cashier was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
