Southwest Airlines later this year plans to add two more nonstop flights from Milwaukee to Cleveland and Nashville.
According Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele, who made the announcement; Southwest, Mitchell International Airport’s largest carrier, will now have a total of 23 non-stop flights from Milwaukee to a variety of cities in the United States.
“We’re glad they are diversifying their Milwaukee portfolio with new short-haul flights to help travelers visit places like the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland,” County Executive Abele said.
The new flights begin November 4th, and according to Abele, will be timed so business travelers can fly to Cleveland and Nashville, conduct business, and then fly back home to Milwaukee the same day.
With the new routes, Mitchell Airport will offer direct flights to 40 destinations coast-to-coast.
