MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is hoping someone recognizes the car that may have been used in the shooting of an infant on I-43 Sunday.

The sheriff's office says a witness described the suspect vehicle as a maroon or darker newer model Lincoln MKS or MKZ four-door sedan.

The most distinguishing features were the very dark tinted windows. No license plate is available.

The vehicle was last seen exiting the ramp from I-43 northbound to the Hampton Ave. exit. If you know anything about the shooting, or the whereabouts of a vehicle that matches the above description, contact the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office at 414-278-4788.

The sheriff's office previously said an apparent road rage incident led to the shooting. A suspect fired a bullet which traveled through a rear door and infant seat before striking the two-month-old.

The victim is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
