Halloween is now days away, and it turns out Milwaukee hits the sweet spot when it comes to kids scoring candy.
The online real estate company Zillow just released its annual trick or treat index, and Milwaukee takes the 9th spot. It's one of the best cities for kids to dress up and sack the most candy in the least amount of time.
"We usually buy a thousand pieces of candy," said Monica Finley. She lives in Bay View and said last year was the only year she didn't run out of candy.
How does Zillow determine which neighborhoods are the best? The site says three things make for great trick-or-treating: High home values, lots of kids under the age of 10, and homes built close together.
"The night goes really fast. Everyone is in and out, in and out, hitting as much houses as fast as you can," said Krystal Esty of Bay View.
"And once people are done with their candy, all the lights go off. You only have about an hour and a half to get your loot. It's a marathon," said Esty.
According to Zillow, the best city for trick-or-treating is San Francisco.
