MILWAUKEE -- The power of music and the importance of education was the message a group of Milwaukee recording artists had for a group of inner city kids Sunday.
About a dozen artists came equipped with spoken word and with action, handing out hundreds of school supplies to kids in Sherman Park.
"Kids do look up to us not only as adults but as recording artists," Brandon "BMORN" Morn told TODAY'S TMJ4. "It's our job to use the things we've encountered in our lives to reach out to these kids."

Morn and his colleagues came to Sherman Park a week after unrest gripped the north side neighborhood.
Four people have been charged - three for looting, one for arson.
"We're trying to take their minds off of it," Morn added. "Put a notebook in front of of them. Even if they don't take notes, they'll go draw. Be the next Picasso."
