A Racine County Sheriff's Deputy is credited for saving a choking woman's life Wednesday afternoon.
The Deputy responded to a 911 of a 53-year-old woman choking on food in her Union Grove home. The 911 caller said the woman was turning blue and had food coming out of her nose and lips.
When the Deputy arrived, the woman was found still choking, but conscious. The Deputy administered the Heimlich maneuver and was able to dislodge the obstruction in the woman's airway, according to the Racine County Sheriff's office.
She quickly recovered and was not transported to the hospital.
