PALMYRA, Wis. – Investigators are working to figure out what caused a plane to crash in Jefferson County Sunday afternoon.
The plane crashed around 2:30 p.m. in a swamp-like area about a half-mile away from the Palmyra Airport.

Area law enforcement tells TODAY'S TMJ4 there were two people on board the plane when it crashed. They were taken to an area hospital. There is no word on their condition.
The FAA will be at the crash scene Monday to investigate.
