MILWAUKEE -- A pedestrian was struck and killed in Milwaukee Sunday night.
The incident happened at approximately 11:15 p.m. near Congress Street and Appleton Avenue.
Milwaukee police said a 29-year-old Milwaukee man was driving east on Appleton Avenue when the victim, a 68-year-old Milwaukee man, crossed the street mid-block and was struck.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect remained at the scene and was taken into custody for Operating with a Suspended License and Causing Death.
