WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. - Noah's Ark water park officials announced plans Tuesday to build a new king cobra-themed water slide in 2018.

The Raja is the tallest and longest of its kind, combining an innovative and unique design, according to a release. The water slide will be six stories tall, with 335 feet of twists and turns, taking riders to 30 mph while racing side-by side on tubes next to other riders.

At the end of the ride, there is a sudden 37-foot drop into the mouth of a king cobra.

“Noah’s Ark has a rich history of bringing some of the world’s most innovative attractions to the Waterpark Capital of the World,” said Mark Whitfield, Noah’s Ark general manager. “Raja will be no exception to that tradition and we believe that our guests will find it to be one of the most thrilling experiences of their summer.”

The ride is expected to open in 2018 along Wisconsin Dells Parkway next to the Ark structure and Flash Flood boat ride.

For Giving Tuesday, Noah's Ark Waterpark will also donate one general admission ticket to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison for every ticket or season pass sold online.
