A million dollar home went up in flames along Nagawicka Lake in Waukesha County Saturday prompting a father to rush inside to save his little girl.
A neighbor tells TODAY'S TMJ4 that the child was taking a nap when the fire started in the Oakwood Bay neighborhood.
“It’s wonderful that dad was able to grab his daughter out of the house and get clear and they called 911 and everybody came quickly and the mom arrived and everybody was out," said Sharon Kraklow, neighbor.
Kraklow says the man who lives in the home was trying to kill some weeds near his deck with a torch.
“And a spark flew under the deck and caught some leaves on fire that were under the deck and then the wind fanned the flames," Kraklow said.
